We're proud to offer this very special collaboration between Georgia ForestWatch and the U.S. Forest Service. This is an opportunity to experience firsthand the awesome richness of the sparkling Conasauga River. U.S. Forest Service Aquatics Biologist, Jim Herrig, will be our guide. We'll be snorkeling in a ΒΌ-mile stretch of the river, where up to 47 species of fish have been documented.
Jim will provide equipment including wetsuits, masks, and snorkels. Plus, we'll have available special viewing boxes that let you see underwater without going under - great for children. Details are below. Leader(s): Jim Herrig, US Forest Service Aquatics Biologist and Jennifer Lopez, Georgia ForestWatch outreach director.
