Join us for this exciting new outing! Bruce O’Connor, Ph.D, will give a lecture on the geology of the area, followed by a walk down to Woodall Shoals on the Wild & Scenic Chattooga River and the exposed bedrock.
Here, large rock outcroppings display in exceptional detail many of the important geologic features of the Southern Appalachians. No geology experience required.
Please note that registration is required for the hike portion of this outing, however, if you will only attend the lecture you do not need to preregister.
